Yo-Yo Tea Biscuit Recipe

This Yo-Yo tea biscuit recipe was originally submitted to Cookingnook.com by Debbie from Derby W.A. Australia.

I have no idea what the name means, but they sure sound like a nice sweet tea biscuit recipe.

This simple biscuit recipe has just 4 ingredients, so it’s really easy to make.

It starts out with self rising flour. You can find that in any grocery store.

Self rising flour already contains a few ingredients, so you don’t need to use baking powder to get your baked goods to rise a bit.

The surprise ingredients is custard powder. You can find custard powder in the baking aisle of the grocery store.

Custard powder is what will bring a nice richness to these biscuits, somewhat like a scone recipe.

The biscuits have a bit of sugar. In this case it’s icing sugar, which is ground finer than regular sugar. It is something you probably have on hand.

Bring it all together with some butter. Pop it in the oven and that’s it. You have yourself a batch of delicious little tea biscuits.

I hope you enjoy this recipe.
