I know there is an interesting (and probably funny) story behind this Watergate Salad recipe, but I don’t know what it is.
All I know is that it’s delicious!
I also don’t know why it is called a salad.
The name says “salad” but it is a wonderful and easy dessert, sweet with pineapple, coconut and raisins.
Easy, easy, easy and delicious!
This delicious recipe is great as part of a buffet, as a take along to any pot luck, or an easy mid-week dessert for the family.
It’s always appreciated and it always disappears quickly.
Obviously, with the name Watergate salad, this recipe has been around for several decades. It stands the test of time though and is definitely worth making.
This is a wonderful recipe for kids. Just like adults, they’ll love the mix of pudding, marshmallows and crunchy nuts.
Give this recipe a try. The name may be outdated but the taste certainly isn’t.
